Laura Battaglia

Laura joined Cherry Huffman in 2007. She is a registered architect and has worked in Virginia, Boston and New York. Laura received her Masters of Architecture from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville and her Bachelors of Science in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University. She also studied Architecture in Copenhagen, Denmark.
 
Laura also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at North Carolina State University. Her work has received numerous awards for design excellence.
 
Laura is studying for the LEED Accreditation exam and has a special interest in the interconnection of sustainable agriculture and sustainable architecture. She is currently working on a new Visitors Center at Horne Creek Farm in Pinnacle and the expansion and renovation of the Southwest Library in Durham, which will be LEED Silver Certified.
